Postdoctoral Positions in Computational Proteomics/Genom ics
The Biological Network Modeling Group at the Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking qualified computational biologists for two postdoctoral positions. The successful applicant will conduct research in the development of statistical analysis, clustering and computational algebra tools to map time course proteomics and genomics data. Experimental data come from several areas, all involving molecular signaling, including: flavonoid signaling in plants; disease mechanism and redox signaling in osteoarthritis, and radiation effects in head and neck cancers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong computational background in the life sciences. Experience with Cytoscape and programming in Matlab and/or Perl and/or Python, and familiar with analysis of datasets obtained from genomics and proteomics studies is preferred. The ideal candidate will also be strongly motivated towards interdisciplinar y research and will be able to work independently.
