As our Market Development Specialist based in California, you will work independently to provide a local face to a global brand. In this remote role, you will implement Abcam's market development strategy by building strong relationships with new and existing accounts to help drive sales in the region. Supported by your colleagues from the Cambridge, MA office, your territory will consist of greater San Francisco, greater San Diego, and greater Los Angeles with the potential to expand in the future. This field-based position will require you to maintain a high level of organization, think critically, make use of your problem solving skills, and communicate technical information effectively to both the US and Executive Management Teams. Job Responsibilities: Acquire and maintain knowledge of Abcam's products and services and promote them within key accounts. Develop and manage professional relationships to win and retain customers and investigate ways of building loyalty. Liaise with US marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns to target these key accounts and develop their business. Analyze and increase key account sales. This position will require approximately 50% overnight travel. This will be within CA, but will potentially expand to other areas on the West Coast. Qualifications: BS in Life Sciences 1-2 years professional experience, preferably in a sales and marketing capacity Laboratory or research experience with antibodies desired The ideal candidate will reside within commuting distance of downtown San Francisco or San Diego. You must have a reliable vehicle for travel to various client sites for which you will receive mileage reimbursement at the designated government rate.
