What You Will Contribute To Altos

An exciting opportunity is available to join Altos Labs. We are seeking highly motivated, creative, and collaborative individuals who are passionate and dedicated about using their expertise to make impactful contributions for unraveling the deep biology of cellular rejuvenation programming to restore cell health and resilience, including basic science, pre-clinical, and clinical-stage programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive of, develop, and optimize assays to support our in-depth understanding of the mechanistic biology of cellular rejuvenation and aging via defined projects and targets
  • Lead in vitro pharmacology efforts for multiple projects efficiently and collaboratively toreach go/no-go decisions.
  • Implement in vitro pharmacology strategies to validate targets and elucidate mechanisms of action for potential drug candidates.
  • Proactively initiate and maintain collaborations with Institute of Science (IOS) labs and cross-functional teams to identify and validate novel drug targets.
  • Work closely with process development and analytical development teams in Technical
  • Operations to discover processes and assays that will align with their downstreamoperations.
  • Provide scientific leadership and expertise in the field of aging/rejuvenation biology.
  • Drive data analysis and interpretation to guide decision-making processes.
  • Support a diverse portfolio of early exploratory and drug-discovery stage projects.
  • Stay abreast of the latest scientific and technological advancements in the field.
  • Engage in ground-breaking and innovative science.
  • Support and manage internal/external collaborations in one or more multidisciplinary projects to accelerate essential research activities.
  • Study the mechanistic basis of cell programming for health and rejuvenation.
  • Responsible for developing project-specific experimental strategies, techniques, and procedures.

Who You Are

  • PhD and a documented record of professional achievement in the form of impactful publications.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced proficiency with Google apps, Excel, and Powerpoint graphic skills to produce documents and presentations.
  • Excellent professional writing skills and the ability to attune through writing and presentations to a variety of audiences including senior executives through entry-level employees.
  • Problem-solving skills sufficient to identify issues, conduct research, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with a broad range of people, including staff colleagues, lab members, faculty, outside agencies and collaborators, and the community.
  • Demonstrated high productivity and ability to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to organize work and set priorities.
  • Ability to focus on details to produce accurate, quality work driven by deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and with others in a team.
  • Strengths in dealing with ambiguity.
