Position Purpose:

  • In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator:
  • Provides overall coordination of the study aspects for patients enrolled in orthopedic and neurology research studies.
  • Assists investigators and research staff in the identification, recruitment, and education of patients onto orthopedic and neurology research studies per study-specific protocol, HIPAA and 45 CFR 46 regulations.
  • Serves as an educational resource to participating patients, physicians, and associate staff in orthopedic and neurology research.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements to maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and the integrity of the clinical trial process.
  • Demonstrates behaviors that reflect quality, professionalism, team work and excellence.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Develops, establishes and maintains productive relationships with investigators, clinical staff, and all external customers and contacts to achieve essential research outcomes.
  • Collaborates closely with Clinical Research Nurses, Clinical Research Associates, the Principal Investigator, the Director of Research Operations, Investigators and Regulatory Staff to ensure key federal/state/local regulatory objectives are met and that ethical obligations are kept.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Licensure / Certification: CCRP certification preferred (not required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical research experience with orthopedic and neurology industry-sponsored clinical trials required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Good Clinical Practice
  • Thorough understanding of clinical trial protocols, including eligibility criteria, procedures, and data collection methods.
  • Experience in implementing clinical trial activities per protocol timelines.
