Job Description
Who we are:
BioInnovatise is a growing, minority-owned biotechnology company that serves research and development laboratories in the I-270 Technology Corridor, BioCapital, and beyond. Our teams advise and produce custom projects that further the research of numerous startups, large pharmaceutical companies, academic labs, and government agencies, including the NIH and FDA.
We specialize in molecular biology products and services to advance research in the early discovery phases of cell and gene therapy, immunotherapy, oncology, precision medicine, regenerative medicine, stem cell research, and vaccine development.
Our mission is to accelerate scientific discovery by providing fast, reliable, and high-quality CDMO services for plasmid DNA and viral vector-based research. Join our growing team and contribute to discoveries that advance patient success.
Job Title: Scientist - Molecular Biology and Viral Vector Production

Perform molecular cloning techniques such as multi-fragment DNA assembly and site-directed mutagenesis
Carry out cell culture and transfection protocols for viral vector packaging
Perform viral vector titration and quality assessments
Execute molecular biology assays, including RNA/DNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, PCR, RT-PCR, western blotting, and restriction enzyme digests
Prepare samples for downstream applications such as DNA sequencing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CRISPR engineering and MEF modification teams, to support integrated project goals
Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow standardized operating procedures (SOPs)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Bioengineering with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting
Strong proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques, including plasmid DNA preparation, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and bacterial transformation
Experience with mammalian cell culture and transfection methods

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and adapt to shifting project needs
Excellent attention to detail and data integrity
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related life science discipline
Experience working in a CDMO or biotechnology small business environment
