The Dassanayake lab is hiring a hourly research associate 3 to assist with DNA/RNA extractions and conduct sequence analyses to support project goals for GR-00006024.
Duties Include:
50% Extract DNA/RNA and conduct plant cloning studies;
25% Grow Shrenkiella parvula and other related plants;
25% Conduct genomic and transcriptomic analyses.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of specific experience in growing Schrenkiella parvula and using molecular and computational biology methods used in comparative transcriptomics.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD with specific experience in Plant cloning and transcriptome computational analysis.
Job Competencies required:
Beginner in plant cloning;
Advanced in Extracting DNA/RNA; Growing Shrenkiella parvula and other related plants;
Proficient in Conducting genomic and transcriptomic analyses.
