Job Description
Company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our DNA Production team. This position will primarily focus on the synthesis, cleaving, and deprotection phases of DNA production. responsibilities:
- Perform DNA synthesis, cleaving, and deprotection procedures according to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments used in DNA production.
- Accurately record experimental data and results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Utilize basic PC skills for data entry, record keeping, and internal communication (Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, web-based applications).
- Demonstrate flexibility to work beyond standard 8-hour shifts as needed to meet production demands.
qualifications:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail is critical for accurate and precise execution of laboratory procedures.
- Multitasker: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic PC Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Internet Explorer, and other web-based applications.
- Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work more than 8 hours per day when required.
- Technical Skills:
- Science background is highly desired.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Completion of 1-2 years of college coursework towards a scientific degree (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field).
- Previous lab experience, either in a professional setting or through academic coursework, is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of how to use equipment and instruments in a lab setting is a significant advantage.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
- Specific experience with oligonucleotide synthesis or related molecular biology techniques.
