Job Description

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general testing following written procedures, capable of maintaining lab equipment based on written procedures, and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.

  • Various support tasks through the department assigned on an as-needed basis.
  • Limited sample preparation, glassware cleaning, sample disposal and cleaning.
  • Routine use of computer applications, primarily Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel)
  • Moderate use of basic lab equipment (i.e., balances, stir plates, hotplates, baths, etc.) and instrumentation (i.e., meters, spectrophotometers, balances, etc
Qualifications
  • Required: High School diploma (Preferred: Associates)
  • Additional instrument training is preferred due to the high degree of sophistication of methods and equipment.
  • Knowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements is desired (e.g., 21 CFR Part 210 / 211, 820, etc.)
  • Operates in accordance with the labs Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), applicable good laboratory practices (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area.
Additional Information

Position is part-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, 15 - 30hrs/week. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.
