Our Biomarker Platforms Team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated discovery biomarker scientist to lead projects focused on the identification and development of biomarker assays to support portfolio progression. Key Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunology in the design and execution of experiments to advance identification and validation of biomarkers.
Oversee and mentor a team of molecular biologists.
Collaborate on strategy and project planning.
Assist in the development and validation of robust biomarker assays using molecular technologies and platforms.
Collaborate effectively with external and internal partners to ensure the development of the appropriate assay that addresses the specific question at hand, always prioritizing doing the right thing for the right reason.
Collaborate closely with other teams and functions to develop seamless end-to-end diagnostic solutions, embracing the mindset that teamwork makes the dreamwork.
Foster open communication and a culture where everyone is encouraged to speak up and share ideas.
Analyze data and present findings clearly to stakeholders, promoting open dialogue and continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate laboratory records reflecting our commitment to responsibility and doing the right thing for the right reason.
Support multiple projects while contributing proactively to a collaborative and respectful work environment.
Educational Qualifications:
Ph.D. (2-4 years of relevant experience), M.S. (6+ years of relevant experience), or BS (with 8+ years of relevant experience) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or other related fields are preferred.
Technical Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in effectively leading and mentoring a team of scientists. This includes skills in resolving conflicts and maintaining a positive team environment, and the capability to provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth.
Experience strategizing, planning and overseeing projects.
Experience with discovery -omics approaches, molecular genetics and immunology.
Proficient in translating research findings using advanced molecular techniques.
Previous experience in the field of oncology is highly desirable.
Experience with biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, etc. is preferred but not required.
Collaborative team player with a strong attention to detail and a proven track record in working both independently and as a team member to deliver high-quality results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to design, interpret, and present complex scientific data in a team environment is required.
Highly self-motivated, excellent problem-solving skills, and enthusiastic.
The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in [ Colorado ] Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.
Base Pay Range: $125,000 - $153,000
