Job Title: Research Technician Department: CCC | Comprehensive Cancer Center

This individual will provide technical support to the research and scientific investigations in the laboratory of Dr. Ann-Kathrin Eisfeld in the Comprehensive Cancer Center. They will perform a variety of molecular, cellular and biological research techniques including PCR reactions, DNA and RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, Northern and Western blot assays, sample processing and library preparation. They will assist in performing flow cytometry to sort patient samples. They will assist with general lab maintenance and troubleshooting of new procedures. This individual will perform handling of lab animals and routine procedure on lab animals such weight monitoring and administration of medication. They will record research results, summarize data for publications and grant proposals and prepare research progress reports. This individual will be expected to maintain accurate records and have good communication skills. They will attend lab meetings and conduct literature reviews on requested topics.
