Position Summary/Description:

We seek a qualified postdoctoral fellow with expertise in microscopy to integrate into our vibrant team. Additional expertise in cell biology, immunology, or bioinformatics is preferred. The postdoctoral fellow will perform large scale analysis of multiplex spatial phenotyping across the tumor microenvironment with the possibility of integration of spatial transcriptomics. At the bench, the postdoc will perform confocal imaging, flow cytometry, and other immune-based assays on fresh tissue from patients with cancer. The successful candidate will work closely with a clinical-basic science PI team supporting the development of unique clinical trials derived from laboratory results. As the project develops, some mouse modeling may be integrated. General laboratory duties will be assigned as needed.

The translational research environment is cooperative and exciting and we are proximal to multiple other high impact clinical research groups that are defining the future of cancer care. Under guidance from the principal investigator and collaborating physicians, and in cooperation with multiple laboratory members and students, the successful applicant will spearhead the research project and other collaborative efforts within Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center ( LCCC ) with ample potential for individual professional growth.

Education and Experience:

A PhD in Cellular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry or similar discipline.
