Research Associate II, Biology Research Operations, In Vivo
W2 Contract-to-Hire
Salary Range: $72,800 - $93,600 per year
Location: Redwood City, CA - Hybrid Role
Job Summary:
The company's R D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancer harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo studies (efficacy, PK/PD).
Carry out pre-clinical model development and characterization.
Conduct standard vivarium operations.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, accurate and timely record-keeping, and data analysis.
Learn and conduct other in vivo-related techniques.
Interface with cross-functional project team members, and participate in and present at project and cross-departmental team meetings.
Formulate and administer drugs and experimental compounds by various routes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
BS or MS in Biology or Pharmacology related discipline (3 - 5 years of experience).
Proficiency with various mouse handling techniques, including dosing (IV, PO, subcutaneous, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, in-life and terminal blood collection, survival surgeries, and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo analysis.
Computer literacy, especially proficiency in GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
The ability to work independently on day-to-day responsibilities and research goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with in vivo imaging and Studylog
Research experience with mouse models of cancer and/or cancer immunotherapy
