Laboratory Technician 2

Insight Global is looking to hire a laboratory technician 2 for a client of ours in the Lancaster, PA area. Below are general responsibilities.

Registration of incoming samples (as needed), maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.

Sample preparation, processing detection sponges, & plate reading; weighing, inputting media, documentation.

Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.

Verify results and submit results to the appropriate personnel for transmission, in a timely manner.

Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.

Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly pay rate for this position has an estimated range of $16.00-$19.00 and is dependent on level of skills and years of experience prior to the position.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in related field (ex. Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Sciences)

1-2 years of Laboratory Experience

Pipe Petting Experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail, excellent work ethic, self sufficient mindset.

Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks during 10-12 hour shifts. Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.

Advanced Educations or certification in related field.

Polymerase Chain Reaction Experience. null
