We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Scientist, Analytical Development - Biologics to be located in Spring House, PA.

Purpose:

The Therapeutics Development & Supply (TDS) organization is responsible for the development, clinical supply, marketed product support, and life cycle management of Biotherapeutics. Within TDS, the Analytical Development (AD) Biologics group supports method development and validation, process and formulation development, release, and stability via automated workflows.

We are hiring a Senior Scientist to support automated clinical at-line release testing within Therapeutics Development and Supply - Analytical Development (TDS-AD). The role includes development, operation, and troubleshooting of automated Workcells to support at-line clinical release testing for cell therapy. This role will be responsible for multiple Workcells to support testing in both cell counting and flow methods.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions for clinical at-line analytical testing.
  • Operation of at-line clinical testing within the cell count and flow cytometry workcells; ensuring testing timelines are met and delivered with high quality
  • Collaborate with Automation, AD Operations and IT to automate data flow within laboratory automation solutions.
  • Operate Workcells using control software such as Biosero Green Button Go, perform level 1 troubleshooting, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Execute testing, data analysis and review as needed per appropriate test methods and procedures.
  • Author documentation for Workcell process flows (Methods, Work Instructions, and/or SOPs)
  • Ensure Workcell equipment is routinely maintained for efficient operations.
  • Engage in a dynamic team environment.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills combined with great attention to detail.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or other related scientific field is required

Required:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant industrial experience in analytical development
  • Experience working in clinical analytical GMP environment
  • Strong chemistry, biology and/or biochemistry or related background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders
  • Position will require up to 10% of travel, defined by business needs

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of laboratory automation systems, robotic platforms, liquid handling systems, and other relevant automation technologies
