The University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville (UFCOM-J) is seeking a highly qualified, board-certified Pediatric Clinical Geneticist in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Clinical Genetics. This is a full-time faculty, non-tenure position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to help shape and expand a developing academic genetics program with strong institutional support and collaboration across the UF Health system.
We are seeking a candidate with expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of children and adults with genetic and metabolic conditions. Candidates with specialized training or interest in metabolic genetics are especially encouraged to apply.
Program Growth Opportunities:
- Collaborate with UF College of Medicine - Gainesville on establishing a 4 th Newborn Screening Center (NBS) in Florida.
- Recently endorsed by the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF), our Neurofibromatosis Clinic offers exciting opportunities to expand patient care and research collaborations
- Contribute to the development of a regional CME program in Medical Genetics

Key Responsibilities
This position will report to the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Genetics and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville.
- Participate in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of children and adults with genetic and metabolic conditions.
- Provide clinical care to patients in primarily an ambulatory, outpatient setting.
- Engage in clinical, quality improvement, and research initiatives
- Participate in on-call schedules as assigned.
- Provide teaching and supervision for residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Participate on committees to represent the Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Pediatric Genetics as required.
- Attend Department faculty meetings and Divisional conferences as required.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- BC/BE in Pediatric Clinical Genetics.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
- Academic record (teaching, research, publications, service) commensurate with appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.
- Commitment to excellence in clinical care, education, and scholarship.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment.
