Chemistry Laboratory Assistant - 2nd Shift

Our Lowell, AR testing laboratory is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our Chemistry department! An ideal candidate will be ready to help our customers and us work toward our goal of making the world a safer, more secure, and sustainable place to live, work, and play.

This role has a schedule of 1:00pm to 9:30pm, Monday through Friday, at our Lowell, AR location.

• Clean, rinse, and prepare laboratory glassware according to standard procedures.
• Properly label glassware, containers, and samples in accordance with laboratory requirements.
• Safely empty chemical residues from glassware into designated waste containers following waste-handling guidelines.
• Organize, file, and store samples in the retention area to maintain accurate records and accessibility.
• Assist with basic laboratory testing or sample preparation tasks as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas, sinks, and storage locations.
• Follow laboratory safety policies, chemical handling procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Notify laboratory staff or supervisors of safety concerns, equipment issues, or procedural deviations.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed.
