Essential Functions:
The Biology Department at UNO seeks to hire two individuals to assist with field research in spring of 2026. The successful candidates will work with researchers who are conducting a study on bat migration and ecology in the Missouri River Corridor. Duties will include assisting with deploying and taking down mist nets and capturing and radiotracking bats.
Work Schedule:
Approximately 20 hrs. per week for 6 weeks

Field research experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Rabies vaccination
Experience capturing and handling bats
Experience with GIS

Work Environment:
This positions will require fieldwork. It can be expected that the employee will be working outside in varying temperature and humidity conditions while conducting fieldwork.
Salary:
$3,528. ($15/hr x 20 hrs/week x 6 weeks=$1,764. x 2 positions
