Work supporting this funding will develop a better understanding of how non-infectious viral proteins influence the human blood-brain-barrier as well as other organ systems. The Research Assistant will have the opportunity to further build their research experience, learn innovative techniques in tissue engineering. The candidate will also become part of a vibrant Department within the School of Medicine and contribute to the foundational goals of the School of Medicine by conducting advanced research in support of human health. The Research Assistant will report directly to Dr. DiVito whom is an Associate Professor in the Biochemistry Department.
