Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in a physical or natural science from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and five years of experience in a public health, medical, clinical or research laboratory. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.Essential FunctionsThese are the job duties required of the position.Essential FunctionsContributes to a research program focused on neuronal stem cell biology, protein translation, and multi-omics analysis.Designs and supervises research projects requiring advanced expertise in complex chemical and biological analyses.Develops and executes experimental strategies to study neuronal stem cell function and differentiation, with a focus on protein synthesis and integrative multi-omics approaches, including transcriptomics and translatomics.Plans experimental protocols and independently carrying out a research program using state of the art methodologies.Designs and implements innovative techniques, collects and rigorously analyze data, and draws conclusions aligned with project goals.Maintains data in a form suitable for publication, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.Assists the Principal Investigator in preparing figures, manuscripts, and reports.Maintains detailed and organized records, ensuring timely data sharing, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to advance research progress.Regular and prompt attendance.Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.Related duties as required.
