Work Shift (if applicable): Shift 1 (United States of America) Job Description: About the Role Vitalant's Hemophilia Center of Western PA is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Research Associate I to support clinical research studies involving patients with bleeding disorders. This role plays a critical part in advancing patient care through research by supporting study coordination, specimen handling, and patient engagement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in both clinical and research environments, and committed to delivering excellent patient-centered service. Location: Hemophilia Center of Western PA in Oakland (FREE PARKING!) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay: $50k- $60k / yearly pay based on experience Key Responsibilities Clinical Research Support: Assist with coordination and execution of clinical research studies Enroll patients into research studies and obtain informed consent Schedule and coordinate research study visits Complete and maintain accurate case report forms and study documentation Ensure compliance with study protocols, internal SOPs, and regulatory requirements Patient Interaction: Interact directly with bleeding disorder patients in a professional and compassionate manner Educate patients on study participation and procedures Support a positive patient experience throughout the research process Specimen Processing & Data Management: Collect, process, package, and prepare biological specimens for analysis Ship specimens in accordance with regulatory and study requirements Perform high-volume data entry and maintain research databases Ensure accuracy and integrity of all collected data Operational Support: Maintain inventory of research supplies and specimen kits Coordinate preparation and organization of study materials Support general administrative and research-related tasks as assigned Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Experience: Previous experience in clinical research, healthcare, or laboratory setting preferred Experience with data entry and documentation in regulated environments a plus Skills & Abilities: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of medical terminology and research processes preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision Paid time off and holidays Matching 401K up to 5% Opportunity to support meaningful work in patient care and clinical research Collaborative, mission-driven team environment Location: 201 North Craig StreetSuite 500Pittsburgh, PA 15213 Job Category: Vitalant Research Institute Contact Information: ...
