Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a dynamic clinical laboratory team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with precision, and is passionate about supporting high-quality patient testing and oues.
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Education Requirements
2+ years of college education in biology or a related field plus 3+ years of laboratory experience
OR
4-year degree in a related field plus 1+ year of laboratory experience
What You'll Do
Prepare and process clinical specimens for testing, including accessioning, aliquoting, and tracking
Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
Perform and document quality control measures (environmental, equipment, and product QC)
Prepare reagents and maintain lab supplies and equipment
Manage sample inventory, including receipt, storage, and disposal
Maintain accurate data entry and update laboratory systems and databases
Identify discrepancies and take corrective action when needed
Support workflow improvements and assist with training staff as needed
Follow all safety,pliance, and confidentiality protocols, including handling sensitive patient information
Assist with general lab operations, including stocking, ordering, and maintenance
What We're Looking For
Hands-on laboratory experience with sample handling, chemical analysis, enzyme assays, or similarplex procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high sample volumes accurately
Experience with laboratory instruments and automated systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (beyond basic data entry)
Ability to follow strict protocols and critical thinking to resolve issues
Strongmunication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Pay
The anticipated wage for this position is between $36 and $47/hour. Hourly wage depends upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Additional Information
May require working in environments with exposure to human blood or biological materials
Must follow all health, safety, and privacy regulations, including proper handling of protected health information
