at Apex Systems in Naperville, Illinois, United States Job Description Job Description: Lab Tech Naperville, IL Sample Preparation and Sample Management Receive, sort, and log water samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to ensure proper tracking and documentation throughout the testing process Prepare samples for analysis by labeling, batching, measuring, filtering, diluting, or otherwise conditioning samples according to approved laboratory methods Verify sample integrity, volumes, and required test requests prior to analysis Maintain accurate records and ensure all preparation steps are documented in LIMS Analytical Testing Support Perform routine and advanced analytical tests or preparation of water samples, which may include colorimetric tests, or measurements related to product concentration, conductivity, pH or prepare samples for metals, anions, alkalinity, phosphates, corrosion inhibitors, and organic carbon analyses. Support testing of various water types, including cooling water, boiler water, reverse osmosis water, makeup water, steam condensate, and wastewater Operate laboratory instrumentation and support test methods under established quality and safety guidelines Review and record data accurately, escalating issues or anomalies as needed Laboratory Operations and Physical Requirements Work in a standing position for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks such as typing, pipetting, filtering, labeling, and handling samples Perform repetitive hand and arm motions associated with sample preparation and testing activities Handle multiple samples simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and data accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace in compliance with safety protocols Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
