Microbiology Technician (Environmental Monitoring)

Kelly Science is seeking a 2nd Shift Environmental Monitoring Specialist for a growing company located in Exton, PA.

 

Job Details:

Pay: $26-28/hour (includes shift differential)

Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-11:30pm

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

 

Job Duties include:

	
• Performs environmental monitoring of plant utilities and production clean zones using particle counters, contact plates and microbial air samplers.
  
  	

• Prepares and sends microbial isolates for identification.
  
  	

• Performs routine media growth promotion and Gram staining.
  
  	

• Performs enumeration and characterization of microorganisms recovered from samples.
  
  	

• Performs data entry for collected data.
  
  	

• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.
  
  

Qualifications include:

	
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, biology or a related scientific field
  
  	

• Previous experience utilizing aseptic technique required and hands-on microbiology experience strongly preferred.
