ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Principal Scientist, Bioinformatics to join our Research and Technologies team in Billerica, MA. This is a high impact role with responsibility for leading innovative research and technology development in the area of Bioinformatics, biomarker and data analysis . The candidate will use their extensive knowledge to identify new potential biomarkers, conceive and prototype novel technologies and approaches leading to transformative products in the area of immunoassay and spatial biology.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Work with key Company stakeholders to identify opportunities for new biomarker assays to build transformative products in the area of spatial biology and Simoa immunoassays
Mine proteomic and genomic databases, scientific and patent literature and biological pathways to identify new biomarker candidates
Design and execute analyses on large-scale omics data (genomics, proteomics)
Utilize machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling to analyze complex spatial biology data sets
Identify gaps in the existing product portfolio and opportunities for improvements
Work with Research and Technologies team to support prototyping and feasibility
Work with and support development team to transfer successful product candidates into development phase
Support troubleshooting and advanced analytics for existing product portfolio
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field
Life Science tools industry experience
10+ years of technical experience
Experience prototyping innovative concepts and development of commercial products
Strong understanding of systems biology, drug discovery, and various 'omics'... For full info follow application link.
