The Clinical Research Coordinator will support an NIH -funded, multi-site randomized clinical trial examining the effects of high-intensity treadmill training and balance perturbations on mobility and stability in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Based in the Integrative Neural Engineering and Rehabilitation Laboratory ( INERL ) at Marquette University, the coordinator will assist with participant recruitment, data collection, intervention support, and regulatory compliance. The role involves coordinating an 8-week treadmill-based training program with longitudinal follow-up assessments. This position provides hands-on experience in clinical research, human subjects protocols, and rehabilitation science within a collaborative, translational research environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Trial Coordination: Assist with day-to-day study operations, including scheduling, protocol adherence, and coordination of assessments across study time points.
Participant Management: Support recruitment, screening, consent procedures, and ongoing communication to ensure participant retention.
Data Collection and Management: Collect and manage clinical and research data (e.g., gait, balance, cardiovascular measures, activity monitoring), and maintain accurate study records and databases.
Intervention Support: Assist with treadmill training sessions, including monitoring exercise intensity and documenting training parameters; support safe implementation of balance perturbation protocols.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain IRB documentation, ensure adherence to study protocols, and assist with reporting and record-keeping requirements.
Team Collaboration: Work with investigators and clinical partners across sites and participate in study meetings and coordination activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors Degree

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with human subjects or clinical research, including participant interaction and data collection.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, study activities, and multiple tasks.

High attention to detail and experience with data entry/management systems (e.g., REDCap or similar).

Ability to work effectively with clinical populations, including individuals with neurological or mobility impairments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with participants, clinicians, and research staff.

Familiarity with research protocols and regulatory standards (e.g., IRB , HIPAA ); background in exercise science, biomechanics, or rehabilitation is a plus.
