POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) Flow Cytometry Core Facility is a Cancer Centersubsidized shared resource. Its function is to provide high quality, cost effective state-of-the-art flow cytometry and multiparameter cell sorting instrumentation and associated expertise and services to all investigators at the college. The facility permits maximum and efficient utilization of the equipment and serves to enhance the quality and scope of scientific research performed at Albert Einstein. The person will: Perform a moderate number of simple or moderate technical procedures; Require occasional guidance; Occasionally be responsible for ordering routine supplies; Rarely modify technical procedures; Rarely train other lab members; Rarely guide other lab members; A simple / limited understanding of scientific literature and the research goals and rationaleis required; Occasionally analyze data; Rarely interpret data; Rarely make written contributions to papers and grant proposals. QUALIFICATIONS Required to have at least a Bachelor's Degree in a related science or equivalent skills and related experience,and zero to two years of related experience. BS Degree in Biology or other Medical/Life Sciences-related field preferred. Previous Flow Cytometry knowledge and working experience preferred.
