About This Role: What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Requirements: Requires a master's degree and two years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: MS degree in Plant Pathology, molecular biology, or related field with 2-3 years laboratory experience with contemporary molecular technologies (e.g., nucleic acid extraction, purification, and quantification, primer design, PCR and amplicon sequencing, real-time PCR, ELISA) and basic bioinformatic experience (e.g., sequence alignment and matching, ncbi blast); experience could include MS research. Experience with good laboratory practices including, following SOPs, biosafety, biosecurity, and lab notebook and records maintenance, etc. 2-3-years research or clinical experience with traditional and contemporary molecular plant diagnostics. Some experience with project management is desirable. Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively and collaboratively.
