Research Associate, Next Gen Sequencing

My client is expanding and seeks a Research Associate to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the NGS platform, receiving and processing samples for sequencing using Oxford Nanopore device.

2. Optimize the NGS pipeline from nucleic acid extraction to sequence read processing to ensure that high quality data is generated.

3. Prepare and present technical data and reports.

4. Maintain an up-to-date lab notebook, actively participate in meetings, prepare presentations, and communicate to leadership team regularly.

Essential Qualifications:

BS/MS in molecular biology or similar.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

Essential Experience:

1-5 years of next generation sequencing

Familiarity and experience working with Oxford Nanopore methods.

Data analysis and presentation.

--This is a Research Associate or Sr Research Associate role.

--Compensation includes base salary + discretionary bonus + exceptional benefits package.
