Research Technician III, Medical Imaging (Part-Time) (Temporary)

The Department of Medical Imaging within the University of Arizona's College of Medicine-Tucson seeks a temporary Research Technician III. The candidate shall be self-motivated, able to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment, and have experience with ultrasound, electrophysiology and bioinstrumentation. The candidate should have excellent managerial and organizational skills and work well with students at all levels (from high school to post-graduate). Fluency in English with good writing and speaking skills is highly desirable.
Position will end in under 6 months or earlier depending on project completion.

Duties & Responsibilities- Assist with ultrasound imaging experiments
- Analyze data from ultrasound acoustoelectric imaging experiments
- Assist in the development of protocols for neuronavigation
- Assist in performing numerical ultrasound simulations in k-wave for skull aberration correction
- Help publish new results in peer-reviewed literature
- Mentor undergraduate students
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Optical Sciences, Physics, or related field
- At least 3 years experience with ultrasound imaging
- At least 3 years experience with biomedical instrumentation
- At least 3 years experience: Solidworks
- At least 4 years experience: Matlab
