Are you ready to take your laboratory skills to the next level? We're seeking a Lab Technician to join our team and play a vital

role in clinical diagnostics and contract research testing .

Job Overview

Under direct supervision of department leadership, the Lab Technician will prepare, manage, and analyze samples using four advanced

laboratory analyzers to deliver accurate diagnostic results to customers. This role also involves supporting reagent preparation and conducting routine

equipment maintenance to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Perform high-volume diagnostic testing, handling 5001,500 samples per analyzer per night
  • Assist sample management team with identification, evaluation, labeling, processing, and centrifuging during peak sample volumes
  • Prepare laboratory reagents as scheduled and maintain reagent inventory
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment, participating in validation processes to confirm proper functionality
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in laboratory operations, biology, and sample preparation
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and sample testing
  • ASCP certification required
  • Expertise in sample management, diagnostic testing, and laboratory protocols
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) OR MLT (Medical Lab Tech) or CLS (Clinical Lab Science) schooling with ASCP certification
    • 4+ years of hands-on lab testing experience OR Masters degree with 2+ years of hands-on testing experience
Preferred Experience
  • Human biological testing (blood, tissue, urine, etc.)
  • Blood banking experience
  • Biology lab internship
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, qPCR instruments, gel electrophoresis, and sequencers
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Monday & Wednesday: 3 PM 8 PM
  • Every other Saturday & Sunday: 6 AM 4:30 PM
  • Training occurs during day shift (approx. 4 months )
  • Ideal for recent graduates preparing for further studies
  • Team structure: 45 technicians & 34 sample management assistants
  • Dress code: Scrubs or business casual attire, with long pants and closed-toe shoes
  • Equipment used: Beckman Coulter PK7300, Abbott Alinity S, Immucor Neo, Roche Cobas 8800, pipettes, centrifuges, freezers, refrigerators, pH meters, microscopes
  • Instruments utilized: Hematology isolators, plate washers, coagulation analyzers, flow cytometry-based equipment, qPCR instruments, thermal cyclers, gel electrophoresis, sequencers, aggregometers

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $26.50/hr.
