Job Posting: JR101012 Research Associate - Computer-Aided Drug Design & Machne Learning (Open) Department: BSU Natural Sciences, JM Position Type: Non-Regular Fixed Term (Fixed Term) Open Date: 06-03-2025 Close Date: $50,000 Job Description: Karnati Lab in the Department of Natural Sciences ( is looking for a motivated researcher with expertise in structural bioinformatics, computer-aided drug design (CADD), biomolecular simulations, and machine learning. The researcher will focus on exploring Class A GPCR-ligand interactions using molecular dynamics simulations and machine learning approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct molecular dynamics simulations or machine learning modeling of biomolecules.
  • Utilize Schrodinger software, AMBER/DESMOND, and machine learning models (including LLMs) for exploring Class A GPCR protein-ligand interactions
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences
  • Demonstrate high-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Support Principal investigator in grant writing efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Computational Chemistry.
  • At least 2 years of research experience in CADD, molecular dynamics, and machine learning.
