Research Scientist II - Genomics (Ben Towne Center: Brzezinski Group)

Our lab analyzes large genomic and epigenomic datasets in order to identify biomarkers for eventual use in the diagnosis and prognosis of pediatric cancers. The successful candidate will be involved in study design, data analysis, and written and verbal communication of results. A background in genetics/genomics and the ability to use common bioinformatics tools (e.g. R, Python, Bioconductor, high performance computing clusters) or a willingness to learn these techniques will be beneficial.

**Required Education and Experience**

Bachelors Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline; may require a Masters Degree for certain lab specialties.

Minimum of two (2) years experience in a related area/laboratory setting.

**Required Credentials**

**Preferred**

Masters Degree in applicable field/research specialty highly preferred.

Significant experience conducting research in area of specialization.

Some experience with laboratory management.

**Compensation Range**

$31.28 - $46.93 per hour

**Salary Information**

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
