The ideal candidate will be innovative, organized, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment. This individual will execute and support in vivo and ex vivo studies to support oligonucleotide delivery programs. If this sounds like you, apply now!Your Key Responsibilities:Plan, execute, and troubleshoot in vivo studies for a variety of Neuroscience programsIntracerebroventricular (ICV) and intrathecal (IT) dosing, bleeding and CNS tissue dissection and collectionTissue processing to support RNA and protein assays (Western, qPCR, in situ hybridization assays)Handle many projects simultaneously and prioritize experiments while producing high quality, reliable and reproducible resultsData analysis, organization and presentationMaintain up to date, organized and accurate study records including the use of an electronic lab notebookMinium Requirements:BA/BS in science-related field2+ research experience, preferably in the field of neuroscienceExperience developing and executing in vivo experiments in rodent modelsExperience developing and optimizing CNS dosing protocols for neuropharmacology studies, including ICV and IT injectionsExpertise in small animal surgical techniques (stereotaxic surgeries, catheterization)Ability to work well in collaborative, fast-paced team environmentExcellent problem-solving and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of computer software and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism)The salary for this position is expected to range between $73,000 and $136,000 per year.The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits.
