Biomedical Technician Jobs in Dayton, OH
A Biomedical Technician, also known as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), plays a critical role in the biotechnology industry by maintaining, repairing, and calibrating the machinery and equipment used in healthcare facilities. In this role, technicians troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure that machines are properly calibrated for accurate test results. Primarily, they work on complex devices like defibrillators, heart monitors, medical imaging equipment (MRI and X-ray machines), voice-controlled operating tables, and electric wheelchairs.
Biomedical Technicians should possess a deep understanding of electronics and computer systems, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
