Research Associate Jobs in Wisconsin

A Research Associate in the biotechnology industry plays a crucial role in investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data associated with biological, chemical, and physical experiments. They typically work in a team to design and implement experiments, help develop new products or procedures, and quality control. Their tasks may include carrying out laboratory procedures, documenting results, and presenting research findings. Additionally, they may also be tasked to supervise junior staff and ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.

To excel in this role, a Research Associate should possess a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in using diverse scientific software and equipment. They should hold a degree in Biotechnology or a related field, while a Master's degree or Ph.D. may be preferred for some positions. Certifications such as Certified Laboratory Technician (CLT) or Certified Biomedical Auditor (CBA) can also be beneficial. Prior to becoming a Research Associate, an individual could have roles such as Laboratory Technician, Research Assistant, or even Quality Control Analyst.
