Lab Tech I (Nights)

Lab Tech I (Nights) Inspira Health Mannington, NJ Inspira Health, the regions leading network of healthcare providers, is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician I to join our laboratory services team for the night shift in Mannington, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyzing test results for accuracy, acceptability and critical limits. This position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive pay range of $31.39 - $43.95 per hour with shift differential. Responsibilities:

• Administer high-quality diagnostic evaluation on samples and take part in proficiency sample testing when appropriate
• Analyze results to ensure accuracy, critical limits and acceptability metrics
• Ensure operation of laboratory instrumentation by calibrating, completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions and evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Perform, evaluate and record quality control and institute corrective action as appropriate
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field; for HEW/HHS, high school graduate or equivalent with 50-week military training as Medical Lab Specialist OR graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory training program
• ASCP MLT or equivalent, level eligible at date of hire (certification must be achieved within 12 months after hire date)
• 0-3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
