Description
We are seeking a highly motivated research technician/research assistant to join our laboratory. Candidates should have hands-on experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including molecular cloning, CRISPR Cas9, PCR, RT PCR, Western blot, plasmid construction/transfection, cell culture, and flow cytometry. Experience with animal studies is preferred, including mouse handling, injections, blood collection, and small animal imaging. Familiarity with fluorescence/confocal microscopy and data analysis software such as GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and ImageJ is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a collaborative research environment.
Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position.
Incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur that customer satisfaction is met at all times.
Essential Position Functions & Duties
10% Prepare reagents, maintain laboratory supplies and inventory, assist with ordering, and support general laboratory organization and management.
30% Perform molecular biology experiments including molecular cloning, plasmid construction, CRISPR Cas9 related studies, PCR, RT PCR, Western blot, and other routine cellular and biochemical assays.
25% Process and handle tissue specimens for downstream molecular and histological analyses, including tissue collection, embedding, sectioning coordination, and sample organization. Maintain accurate experimental records and organize research data.
20% Perform cell culture, transfection, and related in vitro assays. Assist with flow cytometry, microscopy imaging, and data analysis when needed.
10% Present experimental progress during lab meetings and assist with preparation of figures, reports, manuscripts, and other research related documents.

Qualifications
The applicant must meet the following:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, or a related biomedical science field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including PCR, Western blot, molecular cloning, or CRISPR Cas9 is preferred. Experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, animal studies, microscopy, and basic data analysis software. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment are highly desirable.
