Short Description The Clinical Laboratory Assistant works under the general supervision of the laboratory section manager in support of the Clinical Laboratory Scientists/Medical Technologists and Technicians. He/she performs duties in the technical areas of the laboratory including specimen handling, inventory, maintenance and others as assigned. Education Requirements HIGH SCHOOL OR GEDASSOCIATES License/Certification RequirementsOne year experience in phlebotomy/EKG is preferred.
Special RequirementsProvide proof of formal Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training is required (annual recertification is not required); PBT (ASCP) certification highly desirable.
