Biologist 2 (Regulatory & Economic Resources)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Biology or related natural or environmental science field. One year of professional experience in environmental monitoring or natural resource regulation and management is required. Must possess a Driver license. Must possess a SCUBA diving certification.

Recruitment Notes

This position provides direct supervision of biologists engaged in conducting qualitative and quantitative biological investigations, including training, reviewing written work, and overseeing field activities. Regular duties include reviewing and processing applications for projects within coastal wetlands, conducting biological assessments via snorkel or SCUBA, preparing reports, drafting permit language and conditions, and communicating with the public about the status of permit applications.
